New Flavor- Boston Creme Pie

This weeks new flavor is Boston Creme Pie.

Ben and Jerry's Boston Creme Pie is Boston Cream Pie Ice Cream with Yellow Cake Pieces, Fudge Flakes & Swirls of Pastry Cream

Now lets talk about the pint itself. I love how every pint of Ben and Jerry's contains illustrations that are relevent to the flavor (like how the Schweddy Ball's flavor included plaid decoration and SNL signs everywhere). This flavor has the "Go Sawx" and the statue of Paul Revere.

So the flavor itself is awesome. The picture I took doesn't do the flavor justice. It is full of the pastry creme swirl and the yellow cake pieces. You cannot see it in the picture because it blends into the ice cream. Also, there is not a lot of fudge flakes in it but the fudge should not be the main flavor in the ice cream. It inhances all of the other flavors from the pastry swirls and yellow cake pieces. The yellow cake pieces add a different texture to the ice cream, which is something I am a big fan of. Like all of the other Ben and Jerry's pints, the individual textures and flavors of this ice cream mesh very well together to make one insane flavor.

Great flavor, great ice cream. Definitely pick up the pint at your local scoop shop or supermarket. You won't regret it.

The next flavor is Milk and Cookies. Cannot wait to try it.
I will try to write a review for it next week.
Thanks for reading!

Schweddy Balls!!!

No one can resist Ben and Jerry's Schweddy Balls.
Here it is! One of Ben and Jerry's new flavors Schweddy Balls!

Schweddy balls is Vanilla Ice Cream with a Hint of Rum and Loaded with Fudge Covered Rum and Malt Balls. The pint container was pretty cool. They have the cow saying "Season's Eatings" in the top left corner of the picture (for those of you who don't know, that saying is from the SNL skit). It has the plaid as the background for the name (from Alec Baldwin's shirt). And the cow with the Saturday Night Live shirt on.

Just a little note about the flavor

I really liked the flavor. Some of my friends tried it and they said it was just OK but I really liked it. The vanilla doesn't look like there is rum in it (from the picture) but you can definitely taste it. I think it somehow inhances the vanilla flavor and makes the flavor stronger and more intense.

There are a lot of schweddy balls in the pint. They are scattered throughout the pint. You probably won't get one in every spoonful but there are plenty in the pint itself. Let me just say that they were bigger than I expected. Some of them were soft and some of them were hard and all of them were a little misshapen (lol). I think that the malt flavor overtakes the rum flavor in the balls though (which is not really a bad thing since the vanilla has the rum flavor in it).

I really like this flavor. I hope that Ben and Jerry's keeps it and don't put it into the graveyard. I wouldn't even mind if they allowed the flavor to come back every year for the holidays. It could be like a tradition, which I think would be very cool.

Happy Season's Eatings everyone!!!

It's Clusterfluff!!

Here is Clusterfluff. Great flavor, especially if you are a huge peanut butter or peanut fan (like myself).

Clusterfluff is Peanut Butter Ice Cream with Caramel Cluster Pieces, Marshmellow Swirls and Peanut Buttery Swirls.

Let me just say that this flavor is EXTREMELY peanut buttery. It felt like I was intoxicated and overcomed by the peanut butter smell when I first opened it. It was so strong and I wasn't expecting it! This actually made me believe that the caramel cluster pieces were just pieces of peanut butter or peanut chunks!
Speaking of the rest of the pint, I don't really taste the marshmellow swirls. I think the peanut butter swirl (along with the peanut butter ice cream) overpowers the marshmellow swirl (at least in my pint).

Overall, great flavor if you are a peanut or peanut butter fan. This is not for you if you don't really love peanut butter since I believe that the peanut butter is very strong.

I will be trying Ben and Jerry's new flavor Schweddy Balls next. I will try to get a review up ASAP because it is a new flavor.
