I have 2 parts to this post. The 1st is the ice cream and the 2nd is something that I am really excited about.
The new flavor is Blueberry Cheesecake! I now shop at Walmart. It is amazing how BIG the stores are here (I am not used to that at all). Anyways, I had never seen this flavor before and I saw that this pint was a limited batch/exclusive flavor so I decided to give it a try (and I also love blueberries and cheesecake!). I later found out that this flavor is a Walmart exclusive, hence why I never saw it before.
Ben and Jerry's Blueberry Cheesecake consists of Blueberry and Cheesecake Ice Cream with a Thick Graham Cracker Swirl.
I first tried the white, cheesecake ice cream. After tasting it, it reminded me of that classic cream cheese filling that is in cheesecake. I then tried the blueberry ice cream and it gives the ice cream a tart flavor. One thing that I noticed and liked was that it looked like there were remnants of blueberries in the blueberry ice cream. I saw blueish "dots" which could be parts of the skin or seeds from the blueberry. As for the graham cracker swirl, some of the swirl was really thick but there are other parts that are very thin throughout the pint. The swirl gives the flavor a crunchy texture that reminds me of the crust on a piece of cheesecake.
That is my review for Blueberry Cheesecake. My next flavor will be Pistachio Pistachio.
The second part of this post is about a company that I am now a representative of. The company is called Prove People Wrong or PPW. It was started by my friend’s brother Cam, who will be attending the University of Maine in 2013 on a
full hockey scholarship. He came up with the “Prove People Wrong” saying
because he was always told he was too short and would never make a D1 college
team. Three of his friends loved the idea of PPW, adopted the philosophy and wanted to
spread it throughout as many outlets as possible. They eventually got the attention of Boston Bruins Goalkeeper Tim Thomas. They now have more athletes supporting them; including James van Riemsdyk of the Toronto Maple Leaf
s and others.
The reason why I became
a rep with PPW is that I am a believer in this organization and what they stand
for. I have been told many times that I could not do something because I was
not good or smart enough. I think that I am a stronger individual and a better person now because of PPW and proving to myself that I am capable of whatever I put my mind to.
Their website is listed below. The
founders are a great group of guys that just want to get this message across
and make a positive statement to as many people as possible.

If you are interested, they have an online store as well. There is a 10% off your order sale if you use the code 33221. And a portion of the proceeds goes to the Tim Thomas Foundation. The mission of the foundation is to "'support the underdog' whether the underdog position was developed due to lack of opportunity, lack of education, illness or a disaster."
Please don't hesitate to comment about Prove People Wrong below (or the ice cream for that matter).
